Yes I know this post is rather late but was having problems downloading the images from the opening of Steve Madden at Canal walk, Cape town. Well as the shop assistant said there shop mirrors the exact layout and design of the Steve Madden store in New York, The shop itself is very well laid out and funky and edgy which of course drew me into the store straight away, there back wall was full of graffiti  which gave it that edge at made it more appealing than a plain boring shoe shop.

The layout was very well planned and all shoes where clustered into correct trends from Aztec designs to Studded shoes and of course the latest trend Neon. 

All shoes range from about R600 - R1800 which is about the same level as Aldo however Steve Madden stocks more up to date on trend shoes making it much easier

 to find on trend shoes and handbags.

 Take a look at the pictures I took below of some of the fabulous shoes they have. Hope you enjoy ladies and don't forget to get your self to Canal walk as certain popular sizes were sold out.

Pastel Trend

The Pastel trend is an extremely feminine statement if you go full blown pastel but who said that was a bad thing. The pastel trend has sprung up everywhere and on every catwalk from Mui Mui to Marc Jacbos. 

The pastel look is not just for summer, this look you can wear all year round making a dull winters day fun and girly.

Pair pastel jeans with a Grey or white Top and black ankle boots for a perfectly weather appropriate Winter look or on the other hand Make a bold colour statement by accessorising an all black ensemble with a minty green clutch or citron satchel.

Collars

Collars, well what can I say about this trend, it is a trend I myself am absolutely obsessed with. If you can't find your perfect Collar D.I.Y one so you have a unique Collar that no one else has... I have to admit in Cape town Studded Collars and Collar tips were extremely hard to get hold of however now Zara has finally arrived there are Plenty of diamanted,Studded and sequined collared shirts.

Although for some people Zara is slightly too pricey so the next best place is Cotton on, in stores at the moment they have some beautiful pearl collared sheer tops and also sheer gold tipped collar shirts, but in my eyes D.I.Y has to be the best way to achieve this look, especially if you live in cape town.

Neon Trend

Neon Trend has always been around but at the moment we are seeing neon everywhere, from Zara to Cotton on and even Woolworth's have caught onto this trend.

Neon pink and neon green/lime are the main neon's that are in fashion. Country road have some amazing vibrant neon scarves for this spring in cape town as well a cute ballet pumps to achieve a subtly neon trend, however if your extremely brave cotton on and Zara have some very brave pieces, neon jeans, shirts, blazers and if your wild enough treat yourself and take a trip to Forever New, you will go wild in that store if the neon trend is your thing.

Nail Art

Ladies its time to really focus on your nails, and the best thing about this trend is you can go as crazy as you like. Nail art has always been there but in some ways seen cheap and tacky, well that was my opinion, untill I became obsessed with nails. 

I soon started D.I.Y nail art and let me tell you this is extremely hard and I would recommend going to a salon. For all you capetonians out there Nail Factor in V&A Waterfront offer all types of nail art, I myself recently got bedazzled there.

Here are a few nail art looks I am absolutely obsessed with, there are no limits with nail art so ladies go wild, Even Marie Claire magazine has said that nail art is taking over the crazy and out there shoes and handbags, although in my eyes a woman can never replace that, so lets just stick to nail art being a fun and trendy accessory.

Has anyone heard of this brand ? well ladies you all should know about this, it's absolutely amazing ! and I am not over reacting hahaha. I hate to say though the brush hairs are a little too harsh.

However all that aside this product is amazing, applies so nicely and 1 count real is sufficient, very good coverage. I will definitely be buying this whole range of nail polishes.

Weight Loss Diary ?

I don't normally put up personal goals on my blog, however it is my blog so I can kind of do what I want hahaha... anyway, I was flicking through old pictures of myself and realised its time for change.

I know this picture isn't amazing, and my body isn't amazing in the picture either, but I want to get back to how I was here. I am thinking of starting a youtube diary on my weight loss,  not sure if it will be a hit or not but its worth it, will also give me motivation to loss more weight :)

Keeping on trend

 Last night I attended the Belvedere Vodka Party at The Reserve in Cape Town, which at the moment is one of Cape Town's Hottest Luxury restaurant/ club, the food, service and over all ambiance is amazing and world class. The reserve is a definite must do for locals and tourists.

So I don't normally follow trends to point and if you know me, my idea of a variety of colour in my wardrobe is grey, black and white, but mostly black. However I decided to step out my comfort zone and wear a tangerine colour shirt and accompanied that with a statement necklace which is this seasons real hot accessories at the moment.

My advice to you all out there reading this, step outside your comfort zone once in a while it really will benefit you in very small ways :)

7 Must Do's For Iconic Eyes

Its all about the eyes and lips this season, however I am going to be focusing on eyes today, because you know what they say "your eyes are a way to a man's heart" well, that's what they say, anyway, let me get on in talking about this seasons top 7 trends for your eyes.

1. LINER LOVE

Singer Ciara has really intensifies her stare with a very thick eyeliner beneath her lower and upper lashes. To achieve this look line and smudge with a pencil then add a final layer on the top with a liquid eyeliner to add more impact.

2.METALLIC MUS

Copy this eye-brightening look by Applying metallic eye shadows like bronze, gold or silver on your lids. An eyeshadow primer is necessary for this look to stay looking dazzling through out your day or evening.

3. MEGA LASHES

Oh la-lashes! Want this feathery look ? glue on individual false lashes, they look way more natural than the full strips. To accentuate your luscious lashes apply a cream based, shimmery shadow. However leave your bottom lashes to the pro's :) 

4. FUN EYELINER

Pair 2 complimentary colours together to achieve Katy Perry's Rock Chic look.

Greens with purple and Teal with yellow are some nice colours that compliment each other.

5. SERIOUSLY SMOKEY

Who else, but the amazing Kim Kardashian, she's the 1st person we think of when it comes to smokey eyes.Blend shadows in varying degrees of darkness, starting with the richest near the lash lines, and continue until sexy. To make your life a lot easy try the NYX smokey eye palette.

6. CAT EYE

This look is definitely for the ladies out there with a steady hand, to achieve this cat eye look it needs to be perfect crisp lines, for easier application use a gel eyeliner with an angled brush.

7. AU NATURALE 

This look has to be the simplest looks yet this season. Ladies this will literally take you 2 minutes to achieve, all we are focusing on are your upper lashes and lids. apply a nude shimmer eyeshadow to your lids and coat your lashes with your favourite volumizing mascara and there you have it, tres au naturale.
